Kicking your shoes off at the end of a long day feels great, but doesn’t look very neat. Repurpose recycling bins into shoe storage to keep your entryway clutter-free!

DIY: Thread Storage
Here’s a nice simple DIY storage idea that I came up with the other night after being frustrated with all of my tangled embroidery threads. I love love love the hundreds of colours that Spotlight stocks embroidery thread in, and at 79c I may have bought a few too many. It looks great hanging on the shelves, but once you’ve used a bit, it gets tangled in no time. I bought a pack of cheap wooden pegs from the supermarket, and simply wrapped my threads around the peg. So easy! These are my favourite shades at the moment, they remind me of ice cream sundaes and carnival carousels. All of my thread-pegs are currently in a wooden box, awaiting the day when I can have my very own craft room. xo caity
